MACROS & MORE…
>Like a macro control on a synth, on a rack or chain macros can have multiple targets, controlling them all to different extents, in exactly the way you set it up. The power comes from the fact you’re using a single control to command multiple controls in multiple devices.
Even better – when you return to your DAW (for automation) or your MIDI controller (for CC control), you’ll have a single control hooked to do lots at once. This is great for ‘qualitative’ sound design choices: you could have one macro controlling multiple properties relating to the sound’s envelope; another macro controlling parameters relating to modulation strength; another controlling parameters relating to filtering, and so on.
