> Composer and producer Charlie Clouser is known for his work with Nine Inch Nails and hard-edged film and TV scores. His work often combines processed and electronic sources alongside impressive rhythm and percussion work. For those wanting to distill some of this essence into their own work, Clouser has teamed with Spitfire to create a sample-based collection focusing on the cinematic – and recorded in his large Brutalist recording space of hard-edged concrete, glass and steel. As well as recording a wide array of individual percussion sources in the space, the collection includes an excellent selection of 8-bar loops, including the ‘Warps’ category, where heavy processing adds darkness and power.
