Alexandra “Binky” Felstead of Made in Chelsea fame is telling hello! she has just had her “most sober new year ever” – and the reason is something she has kept a closely guarded secret until now.
Gently placing a protective hand on her stomach, Binky reveals the surprise news that she’s expecting her first child – and that the dad-to-be is her castmate Josh “JP” Paterson.
Their turbulent on/off relationship has planted them firmly at the centre of the drama on hit reality show Made in Chelsea, the Bafta award-winning TV show that chronicles the lives of the affluent residents of London’s SW3. And now they’re thrilled to share their baby joy exclusively with HELLO!.
“It has been a huge shock to us both,” says Binky, 27, as they settle down in the opulent surroundings of Down Hall hotel in Hertfordshire to talk for the first time about the enormous life change ahead. “This is a new start and a new chapter in our lives.”
However, as we talk, the pair somewhat surprisingly say that, despite their happy news and their cosiness in these exclusive images, they are not a couple. They had split up again just weeks before Binky found out she was pregnant, but there was no doubt in her mind that this was something she wanted – a decision Josh supports.
