She belongs to an impressive dynasty of Portuguese businesswomen who have forged careers designing and making clothes. So it seemed only natural when Ana Teixeira de Sousa established her own fashion label, Sophia Kah, in 2011.
Since then, the affordable couture line has grown from strength to strength, attracting celebrity clients from Keira Knightley to Sarah Jessica Parker. Beyoncé helped put the label on the map by wearing one of its dresses and Ana’s friend Princess Beatrice is another fan.
While her family ties to Portugal remain strong, home for Ana is Luxembourg, the native country of her industrialist husband Philippe.
That’s where she shows us around the sleek mansion he designed with the help of architect and interior designer Pierre Yovanovitch.
