FOR COASTAL CALM THE SHIPWRECK
THE STAY: Cleverly crafted from salvaged flotsam and soundtracked by the ebb and flow of the surf, this heart-fluttering Cornish cabin – looking out over often-deserted Portwrinkle Beach – is the stuff of salt-tinged dreams. Days at The Shipwreck begin and end with the Atlantic and the pleasures are simple.
Between rosé-fuelled lunches on the deck with dreamy far-reaching views and afternoon ambles along the coast to Downderry, you’ll spend much of your time down on the sand searching for shells, rockpooling and cooling off in the rolling iridescent waves.
THE STAR: Thandiwe Newton (right) spent her childhood in Cornwall.
