In the glorious autumn sunshine, surrounded by her loved ones, Gloria Hunniford is in no doubt that they hold the secret ingredient to why she feels so full of life.
“When I am with my family, I always feel fantastic. My grandchildren are so much fun and keep me young at heart,” says the 81-yearold co-host of BBC1’s Rip Off Britain and panellist on ITV’s Loose Women.
“I absolutely adore my boys and my

grandchildren. I love their friendship. I am so proud of them.”
As well as the joy of being with family, she believes that much of her energy is due not to slowing down the pace of work but to her busy schedule. “I find my energy increases when I go to work, it really does. I appreciate if people are in a job they don’t particularly like and want to retire to enjoy their last years in ways they choose; playing golf or going to live in Spain. But if you are in a job like I am, where I learn something and meet interesting people every day, it is invigorating. I don’t want to give it up. I am challenged by what I am doing. I love it with a capital L.”
