Adriana Iglesias has fashioned a dream life for herself. Listening to her play piano at home in her magical Valencian palazzo, where she creates clothes that celebrities love, it seems she’s managed to sidestep hard reality. Not at all.

Adriana is a former telecom engineer, who left a well-paid job to invest “everything I had and everything I didn’t have” in her new career. Just as the music floating ethereally through her home now is the result of endless hours of childhood music lessons, her business success is down to sheer grit and determination.

CREATING A NEW LIFE

At 37, Adriana was ready for a change of direction. By then, she had years of telecom experience, and while she still enjoyed the travel her work involved, the excitement had long gone. “It wasn’t my real vocation,” she tells us. That realisation coincided “as these things so often do, with a more personal crisis”. Bravely, instead of fearing change, she approached it positively. “My two daughters were still small. So I ended up rethinking my whole life.”
