Walking hand in hand through the streets of St Andrews in Fife, Prince William and Kate Middleton begin their epic love story as The Crown retells one of the greatest royal romances of the 21st century.
Viewers are introduced to Kate in the sixth and final season of Netflix’s hit series, which returns next month and follows the blossoming relationship between the now Prince and Princess of Wales.
In photos of scenes that were filmed around the university town, where William and Kate – both now 41 – met and fell in love, actors Ed McVey and Meg Bellamy bear an uncanny resemblance to the young couple.
