PRINCE GEORGE
TACKLING HIS FIRST OVERSEAS SPORTING MATCH
HAS A BALL WITH HIS FATHER THE PRINCE OF WALES WATCHING THE RUGBY WORLD CUP IN MARSEILLE
Asked if George had enjoyed the game, his mother said: ‘He did, he loved it so much’
His parents are famously sports-mad and Prince George appears to be no different, enjoying his first trip to the Rugby World Cup last week.
The ten-year-old Prince joined his father the Prince of Wales at the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille, France, for the quarter-final match between Wales and Argentina.
Wearing navy blazers and red ties to show their support for head coach Warren Gatland’s squad, father and son were greeted by Martine Nemecek, France 2023 deputy chief executive, and Marseille’s mayor Benoît Payan.
They took their seats in the presidential box between World Rugby chairman Sir Bill Beaumont and Welsh Rugby Union president Gerald Davies.
