Life has been a “whirlwind” forMia McKenna-Bruce lately. Having starred in How to Have Sex, which took the Cannes Film Festival by storm last year, she finds herself in the running for Bafta’s EE Rising Star Award for up-and-coming talent.
Molly Manning Walker’s directorial debut, which received an eight-minute standing ovation and won the festival’s Un Certain Regard award, follows three 16-year-old girls who embark on a rites-of-passage holiday on the Greek island of Crete to celebrate the end of their GCSEs.
