When Kris Marshall began filming the second series of Death in Paradise spin- off Beyond Paradise,, he discovered he had a personal connection to his muchloved character Detective Inspector Humphrey Goodman.
The show follows what happened after Humphrey’s happyever-after, when he swapped the Caribbean for Devon to settle down with fiancée Martha Lloyd – played by Sally Bretton – in her home town. Series two sees the couple embrace the possibility of fostering a child after the heartache of failed IVF.
