Air Commodore Kate is a natural pilot as she puts RAF simulator through its paces – and apologises to little girls for not wearing her ‘princess’ dress
She has always loved to be at the heart of the action, and the Princess of Wales appeared to be in her element as she took control of a flight simulator and performed a loop the loop on a visit to an RAF base.
The future Queen looked like a natural as she demonstrated the acrobatic stunt after being asked: “Would you like a go?” and replying: “Yes, I’d love to.”
Her high jinx no doubt left her youngest son, Prince Louis, green with envy. Revealing that the seven-year-old is keen to become a fighter pilot, she said of her children: “I’m going to tell them it takes eight years and a lot of hard work.”
