Made-to-measure worked a treat!
With an awkwardly shaped room, the only way Bobbie Holmes was going to get the most out of her guest bedroom was to think creatively

My room...
A bit about me
I’m Bobbie Holmes and I live with my husband Marc in a two-bedroom coach house on Fairfield Park, Stotfold, Herts.
Before
My problem bedroom
As this is the spare room, it was full of mismatched furniture and a dumping ground for all our rubbish. I wasn’t sure about how to make the awkward shape work or how to go about hiding the stair block in the corner.
How I made it work
Marc and I were adamant we didn’t want fitted wardrobes as they weren’t quite right for us and personally I’m not a fan. With this in mind, I searched the internet and found the online design company Jali, who make anything from radiator covers to gorgeous MDF wardrobes. We decided these were the perfect solution to our storage dilemma. Then I decorated the room with bargains from online shops and went to charity shops, eBay and car boots for the accessories.
