Disk Utility
This is one of your Mac’s default applications than can be used to repair, partition, erase and restore disks and can be used on your Mac HD as well as connected external drives.
Handoff mode
When using Apple apps that are used by Mac and iOS (Mail, Safari, Messages, etc), you can switch from using your iPhone to your Mac (and vice versa) using Handoff mode. Go to System Preferences/Settings>General on Mac and iOS to enable it.
Picture in Picture
When watching a video in Safari, Picture in Picture mode transfers the video to its own separate viewing window, meaning you don’t have to watch it in the web page. You can manually drag the corners to increase the size of this window and drag it to various snap-to positions on your desktop.
macOS Notes
Is there a way to get coloured text in my Mac’s Notes app? I can’t seem to find a way of doing it Rebecca Wyllie
1 Click the menu
While in the Notes app, click on Format>Fonts and you will see the ‘Show Colours’ option – select this. You can also press the cmd+shift+C keyboard shortcut to instantly access this feature.
