AS AN IPHONE user, I have benefited from having the wonderful SeeingAI app for some time. Produced by Microsoft, this app has several functions which can help a visually impaired person (VIP), including the ability to read text.

Unless you have lost your eyesight, you can probably have little idea of just how fantastic this is. SeeingAI has several other functions which are very helpful, and it’s one of the apps every VIP should have on their iPhone or iPad.

But that’s the problem with SeeingAI.

At time of writing, it is only available on Apple products. What do you do if you are an Android user and can’t afford to switch to an iPhone? Without SeeingAI, you are most definitely worse off than VIPs who use Apple devices.

But fear not! There is an alternative.
