Bow Wow

This would be the first truly accurate weapon allowing us to kill at goodly distance, and as far as I’m concerned, the further away fae an angry animal the better

THEY SAY that a writer should write about what he or she knows about, but that has never stopped Dad fae spouting garbage for years in this magazine.

Were it not for me editing, Dads articles would be as coherent as a Trump rally speech.

However, this issue, we’re going tae have a blether about archery.

I think its important, that in the evolution of weapons, from throwing rocks, then the progression to rock chucking slings, spears....and the progression to spear throwing sticks, archery would be the laser guided missile of its day.

This would be the first truly accurate weapon allowing us to kill at goodly distance, and as far as I’m concerned, the further away fae an angry animal the better.

Sod having to tackle a raging bull or a mammoth wi’ a pointy stick.

Materials for bow making of course depended on what was available at whatever part of the world you resided, thus bamboo in Japan, wood in Europe and composite materials in other parts of the world.
