IAM FOREVER producing articles which extol the virtues of the fantastic Be My Eyes app, and I’m at it again.

You see, Be My Eyes, which was already a Must Have App for any visually impaired person (VIP), just keeps getting better.

For those who are not aware of this superb app, it began some years ago with the aim of connecting VIPs with sighted volunteers. To get help with any task, all a VIP needs to do is call a volunteer via the app which rings a small number of available volunteers, with the first one to answer being connected to the VIP’s phone camera. This allows them to help with whatever task the VIP needs assistance with. It is a truly fantastic system which is available worldwide in many languages, and there are well over a million volunteers, meaning you rarely need to wait long to be connected.
