THERE was a time when young middle distance runners were given the opportunity to compete in the big events but now it’s the sprinters and the relays were dominated by Croydon Harriers.
They won three of the four women’s events, the under-17s in 47.64, the under-15s in a faster and more dominant 47.61 and the under-13s in 52.62.
Blackheath and Bromley denied them a clean sweep with a 46.69 win in the under-20s.
