Drama and Theatre  |  Spring 1 19/20
In this issue of Drama & Theatre magazine, we look at live theatre opportunities for your students, both as audience members and performers. From Blackeyed Theatre’s touring production of Jane Eyre to the new hit musical Six, and the Orange Tree’s Henry V for Primary audiences, there are plenty of opportunities to inspire students, and our teacher contributors explore how you can get the best out of visits with your group.
We also explore a number of ways in which students can be introduced to career paths in the theatre industry, looking in depth at the National Student Drama Festival, the Inspiring Future Theatre programme and two backstage careers conferences: Theatrecraft and the National Theatre’s Creative Careers conference.
To support your teaching, this issue also covers intimacy directing for young people, case studies a whole-school cross curricular drama project about WW1, and introduces theatre company Graeae as a practitioner for study, as well as featuring our usual extensive book, workshop and resource reviews, and a look at a further 11 plays for performance or study.
