BREAKING THE TAKEAWAY HABIT
Reading Happy Meals (October/ November) was a wake-up call for me. With specialists recognising that there is a link between what we put in our mouths and what goes on in our heads, I knew I needed to make huge changes. Due to a demanding job, I’d become accustomed to late-night takeaways and fast food. But I’m not making excuses any more –my health is more important. You’ve made me realise that the brain needs constant fuel and if I am feeding it with a poor diet, it will affect my mood. I’m taking your advice on board and will be including more mood-boosting foods in my diet like wholegrains, root vegetables, berries and nuts from now on. Dee, Huntingdon
