LOVE CONQUERS ALL?
Deep inside Ripon Cathedral in North Yorkshire, TV Times is standing in an aisle when Queen Victoria and Prince Albert walk over to greet us. ‘I thought I’d come over to say, “Hello”,’ says Prince Albert, looking dashing in a red waistcoat and black overcoat. ‘Nice to meet you,’ smiles Her Majesty, rocking a mint-green-and-purple gown paired with a cream blazer and fetching purple bonnet. We have been transported back to the 19th Century to watch Jenna Coleman and Tom Hughes filming scenes for the much-awaited second series of hit ITV royal drama Victoria. The action picks up one month after the series one finale, which saw Victoria give birth to the couple’s first child, and we now follow the Queen as she juggles her role as a mother with her royal duties.
