Merry Christmas folks
Hopefully you’ll get the chance to be reading this over the Christmas holidays and perhaps burning off a few calories by humping vats of RO around – but don’t overdo it. Better perhaps to sit back and enjoy the visual spectacle that is Mark Ratcliffe’s system. Which, incidentally, you can enjoy on our YouTube channel or through your ‘e’ version of UM. Mark’s system is, as you can see, something to behold, an example of water kept as close to perfect as the hobby can achieve I’d say.
Not to be outdone though, John Clipperton’s system is showing coral growth that not many years ago would have been considered near impossible. I wonder just how long it will be before he upgrades again and if he does so can we raid his system for frags?
We’re also giving away a wall planner for 2014 in conjunction with our friends at Compare Aquatics. After meeting the guys behind the project in the Autumn I think this ambitious project has a good chance of success, so perhaps check out their site and spend some time over the holidays considering your next purchases and perhaps venturing further afield to explore the UK’s excellent fish shops.
