You must have read about the amazing vegan boutique hotel in the Scottish Highlands which opened this year? It’s the first 100 per cent vegan hotel, from the bespoke furniture to the teeny organic shampoo in the showers and, as you’d expect, the entire menu is completely veganfriendly (with the exception of a token risotto for those fussy vegetarians and their weird cheese hang-ups).
Let’s just take a minute to really let that sink in. It’s basically the equivalent of the scene in Charlie and The Chocolate Factory when the golden ticket winning kids and parents enter the Chocolate Room for the first time and go completely candy-feral. Every dish on the menu would be cruelty-free — from the watermelon sashimi all the way through to the vegan haggis and ater dinner mints.
