DIVISION ONE
SPECTATORS were treated to an old-style Rugby League clash when leaders DEWSBURY MOOR hosted OULTON on Friday evening.
The Moor scored the only try of the game in a 12-4 victory after responding to two Kieran Walpole penalty-goals with a Louie Walker two-pointer as the interval beckoned.
Jack Clarkson crossed for the Maroons four minutes after the restart, despite George Woodcock having been sinbinned for dissent.
And Walker, who improved that touchdown, saw the Moor home with two penalty-goals in the last ten minutes – the first awarded after the Raiders’ Lewis Hagan was sinbinned for a shoulder charge.
Second-placed CROSFIELDS cruised to a 32-10 win over CLOCK FACE MINERS, who are now bottom after Skirlaugh’s success over Hull Dockers.
