MATERIALS & TOOLS:
• V9255 pattern
• tracing paper, tissue or parchment
• pocket pattern pieces (borrowed from another pattern)
•A favourite round neck top or pattern piece to draft neckline
• 0.25m1 ⁄4”-wide elastic
• small button for back fastening
• rouleau or thread loop for back fastening
CUTTING
From main fabric, cut:
• 4 pocket pieces
• front piece
• back piece
• 2 sleeves
• 4 back yolk pieces (each back yolk will be cut as two pieces, each with an added5 ⁄8" seam allowance added at the centre back. See Step 2)
From interfacing, cut:
• front yolk (on fold)
• 4 back yolk
• 2 back yolk (back yolk will be cut as 2 pieces as with main fabric)
PATTERN ALTERATIONS
1 To alter the neckline, place the yolk pattern pieces on an existing pattern or top you like, and line up the centre fold and the shoulder seam. Place tracing paper over the two and trace out the new neckline. Tape this to your pattern piece (or trace off a whole new pattern piece if preferred) and transfer markings.
