Apple accidentally notarises malware - twice
Adobe Flash installers contain hidden payload
One of macOS Catalina’s key security features is being undermined - by Apple itself. Notarisation was introduced last year as a way for third-party developers to get legitimate apps, not available through the Mac App Store, past Gatekeeper in macOS. Only, a recent security audit run by Apple on an Adobe Flash installer failed to spot that it contained a hidden malware payload, and so that malware ended up being notarised.
