Pixelmator Pro is one of the best image editors on the Mac, and now there’s another reason to consider it: video editing. New to version 3.2 ‘Lumiere’ is the ability to edit all kinds of video in up to 8K resolution, with support for layers, colour adjustments and other tools familiar to Pixelmator Pro users.
Version 3.2 also supports Live Photo editing and GIF creation, and includes a range of cinematic and social media templates that can help give your home movies some extra pro-level gloss. Plus the app offers full support for Apple silicon M1 and M2-equipped Macs, although you will need to be running at least macOS Big Sur for it to run.
