Intrigued by Apple Intelligence and the promise of Genmoji, I’ve just got an iPhone 16 and, while I like to consider myself pretty tech savvy, I have to say, I’m a bit lost. I feel like an old farmer looking out at a brand-new housing estate saying, “I remember when all this was fields”. Basically, Apple has built over all the space that used to be found on the iPhone. For a start, why are there so many buttons on the side? Why does the Control Centre now look like a cluttered icon-flavoured soup? And why doesn’t the iPhone lie flat on a table top anymore?
