THINKS THAT IF APPLE’S VR/ AR HEADSET IS AIMED AT THE MAINSTREAM, IT’LL HAVE TO DO BETTER THAN THE ‘METAVERSE’
As I write this, stories about Apple’s supposed headset for augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) are swirling (see p6). They’re predicting that the headset will arrive this year, and that it’ll feature chips as powerful as those in the new MacBook Pros, which would put its capabilities way beyond the equivalent models from Oculus. Sorry: Facebook. Sorry: Meta.
