FERAL INTERACTIVE HAS reached the PlayStation 3 era in its effort to bring all of Agent 47’s adventures to iPhone and iPad, and Absolution stands out as the last game to feature the shiny domed assassin before the series had a reboot with 2016’s Hitman.
It’s a great–looking game, clearly pushing the graphical abilities of A– and M–series chips and with an advanced options page that enables you to push the GPU even harder at the cost of frame rate. It starts off well as you infiltrate a house via the garden and tennis court on the trail of Diana Burnwood, formerly your handler at the assassination agency, turned traitor and on the run. From there, you head across the US, with levels in Chicago’s Chinatown and an industrial lab in North Dakota among the stand–outs.
