BACK IN 2002, Apple released what remains, to me at least, the most iconic and classiest Mac of all time: the iMac G4. It featured a flat–screen liquid–crystal display connected via an adjustable arm to a base containing the processor, hard drive, and DVD drive (remember those?). The screen could be swiveled and angled to the exact position you preferred, a bit like a table lamp. In fact, the whole design was reminiscent of a table lamp, making it look both retro and futuristic at the same time.
