S ALWAYS, THE new version of macOS brings some great new features to the Mac’s built–in applications, and Notes and Reminders both get a minor spruce–up.
For Notes, there’s exporting in Markdown (see below) and Call Recordings — an Apple Intelligence– powered feature whereby conversations from the Phone app can be recorded and transcribed as a note. So you can have a conversation on your iPhone, have it transcribed, then pick it up in the Notes app on your Mac.
A couple of new features in Reminders are dependent on having a Mac that supports Apple Intelligence. Harnessing the power of Apple’s artificial intelligence (AI), you can group related reminders into sections, and also have Apple Intelligence make suggestions gleaned from info in apps such as Messages and Mail. You can create reminders and new lists directly from Spotlight, and if you have an entry that requires an alert from a time zone that isn’t your own, you can do that, too.
