When a Mac is a little outside your price range, or you have a desktop Mac and would like something cheap to carry around, why not buy an iPad? You can share files between your computer and tablet using your iCloud storage, key applications such as Pages, Numbers, and Keynote are available on the iPad, and if you buy a Bluetooth keyboard or keyboard case, you can use it as a notebook.
