Why does VoiceOver sometimes switch language when reading web pages, and Writing Tools struggle to summarize?
Both need to work out which language is used in text they’re going to process. That determines what voices to use, and how to analyze contents to generate a summary. If the text can’t be classified, their decisions may be arbitrary. Passages including extensive abbreviations, programming code, or even slang pose the greatest problems.
