R ASPBERRY PI 5
HOMEBREW PC ALTERNATIVE
Now in its fifth iteration, the Rasberry Pi has come a long way, transitioning from pure text interfaces to now being able to run Windows, if you ask nicely enough. Pi 5 offers three times the processing power of Pi 4, thanks to a quad-core Arm CPU, comes with 8GB of RAM, and can even support an NVMe SSD, albeit running at PCIe 2 speeds. It’s a crazy amount of computing for so little money. The only minor snag is the higher power requirement, so Pi fans may need a new PSU.
