THE BIG PICTURE
ADIOS, AMIGOS!
PRESS/ALLAN BALLARD
ON APRIL 17, 1982, Motörhead released Iron Fist, their fifth studio album and – for many – the last in a stratospheric run that had seen them climb the charts and conquer the rock’n’roll world. Granted, it didn’t match the chart-topping success of live album No Sleep ’Til Hammersmith (but then, no Motörhead album ever would) and nor was it as critically acclaimed as the iconic Ace Of Spades, but it did mark the final outing of the band’s ‘three amigos’ line-up: Lemmy Kilmister, ‘Fast’ Eddie Clarke and ‘Philthy Animal’ Taylor.
