have spun the revolving door like a miniature circle-pit over the years, but Sodom have remained consistently ferocious. With guitarist Frank Blackfire back in the fold alongside mainstay and frontman Tom Angelripper, it’s arguably their most interesting period in a while. So what better time to revisit the trail of carnage they’ve left in their wake since forming in the early 80s? They’ve chosen an interesting format to do so, re-recording one track from each of their major studio releases across the intervening decades. These are not reinventions; they follow pretty much the same arrangements, but with (mostly) improved playing and a razor-edged production.
