Backscene
Chris Leigh offers meanderings we couldn’t fit into the issue elsewhere, but which seemed terribly important at the time…
Some thanks are in order…
Model Rail No. 300 is only just reaching your doormats and shop shelves as I am writing this but your response is already gratifying. It really is good to know that you’ve enjoyed Model Rail so far. My sincere thanks for all your kind comments.
Model Rail has always been a team effort. In the early days, even before issue No. 1 in autumn 1997, Clive Nichols, Nigel Harris, Dave Lowery and I were the team who sat together, sometimes for hours, discussing questions that usually began “What do you think about…?” or, “Suppose we did…”
The team has changed and expanded in the past 25 years and it has been good to see the careers of Ben, Richard and George flourish as they took Model Rail forward as editors. I’m delighted to still be part of a top-notch team who are all such a pleasure to work with.
