The arrival of any new model for review is always an exciting event, but I was particularly thrilled after unpacking Accurascale’s Class 37/4.
I can’t hide the fact that I’m a huge fan of the English Electric Type 3s and, while researching in my archive, I unearthed an image of myself beside a ‘37’ at Crewe Works in 1987. Various refurbishment programmes were getting under way at that time, so it was a treat to see examples emerging in new liveries.
