There’s been no time to rest as
we’ve managed to squeeze
an extra seventh issue into the
usual schedule – so without
further ado, welcome to the
Summer Special! Which is quite apt, since
we’ve had a decent spell of warm, sunny
weather and everything’s in full bloom.
Although it’s only April, the 2014 events
season is already in full swing as MINIs are
coming out of hibernation; many of you
have already planned your weekends around
a full diary of Mini shows. There’s certainly
something out there for everyone.
This leads me onto a sneaky preview of
our July-August 2014 issue – which will be a
‘road trip special’. I would like to hear about
your favourite driving routes. Perhaps it was
a thrilling seat-of-your-pants blast through
the Peak District that put a wide grin across
your face, or maybe a scenic route through
dramatic mountainous regions like Glen Coe
in Scotland. I’ll vouch for the latter as my
favourite; the A82 which snakes through the
Black Mountains just gets better and better
as it navigates some of the most stunning
and remote scenery in the Scottish Highlands
– there’s much to be said for it being called
‘God’s Country’. The windy single track roads
on the picturesque Isle of Mull, where traffic
jams are only ever caused by wandering
Highland cattle, takes some beating, too.
But maybe I haven’t discovered Britain’s
best road/s just yet – I’d love to hear your
thoughts and recommendations! You can
email me at: mm.ed@kelseypb.co.uk
So what’s in store in this bonus issue?
Well, more of the stuff you tell us you love,
like show cars and uniquely personalised
varieties, too! Take Michael Wood’s
Cooper S Clubman for example; it’s been
through various guises but we think his
stickerbombing phase is the best. See
what you think on p34. Then there’s Sally
Macpherson’s disguised R56 silverware
hunter – we say that because few people
actually clock on to the fact it’s a One D,
since it’s so different to standard.

Digital version photos are veeery low quality

I tried a new and modern way of purchase and got digital issue. My overall comment is - this is the last purchase. Text is not a problem, you can zoom in and read without any doubts. The biggest problem are pictures. All pictures are veeery low quality (resolution) and zooming in makes it..... Terrible.. these days with all portable toys this is a big mistake. Poor guality photos will make your purchase useless. Reviewed 03 November 2015
