The strings of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra visited Lochaber High School on Saturday, as a part of their summer tour.
The 24-strong ensemble played a varied programme of music from the 17th to the 21st century, although their dynamic leader, Benjamin Marquise Gilmore, explained that it had been chosen to complement the centre piece, which featured the UK premiere (repeated in each of its tour venues) of a concerto for theorbo by the contemporary Welsh composer Stephen Goss.
