Speeding motorists snared in campaign

AN INCREASE in road policing between Spean Bridge and Roy Bridge saw a number of speeders snared in the area last month.

Fifteen fixed penalty notices were issued to drivers, with five people being reported to the procurator fiscal and a number of others receiving warnings.

Speeding between Spean Bridge and Roy Bridge has been an ongoing issue for the community council for some time but at its December meet ing Sergeant Andy Cooper reported that there had been ‘considerable road policing activity in Roy Bridge’ during both November and December.
