Sir,
I am writing in response to your article ‘Motorists are driven to distraction by bad road’, May 19.
I am not an architect or engineer, but would building a pedestrian bridge at the junction not solve the problem? This would help speed up the flow of traffic and also keep pedestrians safe. Argyll and Bute Council could host a competition for architects and engineers in and around Argyll to design the bridge for that location. Argyll and Bute Council owns a few properties around the area which would help with regard to modifying them slightly for various entry/exit points onto the pedestrian bridge.
