Ardfern’s Jamie Spencer welcomes The Princess Royal to Madagascar.
HER ROYAL Highness The Princess Royal last week toured Madagascar, the home of the lemur and the fourth poorest country in the world.
One of the first places she visited was Scottish charity Feedback Madagascar, run by Jamie Spencer of Ardfern. The charity’s Wild Silk project has trained 650 local women to make and sell silk scarves across the world, at the same time as managing and growing the Tapia forests where the Malagasy wild silk moth thrives.
