Iona Grant sounds like an incredible woman who knows what she wants. At 21, she is trying to live her life to the full.
She is attending college, taking part in sport and seeking out adventures, all activities that will broaden her horizons and help her to blossom into the person she is meant to be. The only thing that has the potential to derail her plans is a bus.
As you will read in our story on page three, Iona was born with cerebral palsy and relies on local buses to get her to and from college three days a week. But in the past 10 years – not 10 weeks – she has consistently had problems due to the inability of the bus operators to ensure that their buses have working disability access ramps.
