Oban Lorne defeated by the weather

BT West Division 1 Oban Lorne P Carrick P

OBAN Lorne’s West Division 1 fixture at home to Carrick was postponed on Saturday due to a waterlogged pitch at both Glencruitten and at North Connel. This was the first postponed fixture for the team due to weather this season and may become a familiar outcome due to the continuing wet weather causing problems to playing surfaces throughout the west regional leagues.

The men in green have a lay off for around a month due to Scotland’s autumn international matches with the team’s next league game not taking place until Saturday December 2 where they travel to take on Argyll rivals Helensburgh RFC.
