A fellow yogi once said that the most important pieces of equipment you need for doing yoga are your body and your mind. And, in turn, it is both body and mind that benefit on every level through the practice of yoga. Yoga has had a profound influence on many diverse groups of people for thousands of years, but its journey into Western Society only began in the late 1800s and early 1 900s. However, finding its place as an accepted, respected form of exercise and healing has been challenging. This is especially true in the case of children’s yoga.
