-TTL II is great when you’re starting out with flash, or when you’re shooting in a fastmoving situation and don’t have time to keep altering the flash exposure. But its key advantage can also be a negative. With the camera making automatic adjustments, you can never be sure of consistency. Change the framing and composition, and there’s a chance the camera will also change the flash exposure. It can also be influenced by a change in the tone or colour of the background.
