TIPTOE AROUND
A young donkey, who can only stand on his tiptoes, is striding towards a better future. Two-year-old Casey was born with Ballerina Syndrome – a rare condition that means he can’t put his feet flat on the floor. He’s always been unbalanced and struggled not to trip over. Casey’s been undergoing treatment from the age of two months, which includes special daily exercises and remedial shoeing to help bring his heels down. Over time, Casey has made great progress and can now be seen trotting around the field with his friends. thedonkeysanctuary.org.uk
