CAN I TOW WITH AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE?
Q Your car reviews tend to favour diesel power, but I would really like to change to a hybrid, plug-in hybrid or fully electric. In general, which type of electrified vehicle would you say works best as a tow car?

David Motton replies...
That’s a complicated question to give a brief answer to, as it depends to a great extent on the weight of your caravan and how far you intend to tow.
A number of fully electric cars, such as the new Polestar 2, are capable of towing. But most are either prohibitively expensive or have a relatively low towing limit, and range will be severely reduced when towing.
